Recycling Christmas

Every year after Christmas I sort our Christmas cards into three piles:- those I want to keep (usually the ones with some correspondence inside or other sentimental value), those for upcycling to be turned into new cards and gifts tags, and those for recycling.

Over the last couple of days I have been working on upcycling my cuttings into new cards. Nothing fancy or sophisticated - just some background papers, the upcycled toppers and some stickers or peel offs. I think the simplest cards are often the best.

Here are a few of my favourites - apologies for the poor quality of the photos but it is really dark here this morning ...

    They look great! I had to go through the huge pile I had as they wouldn't fit in the box. I have sent most to the recycling the ones I kept will be used as gift tags.

    They are fab! I only make gift tags with mine but you have inspired me to have a go at some cards. What do you use a the actual cards (folded card, or totally blank cards)?

      Thanks so much :) I buy blank cards from a nearby craft store - they come ready cut, with envelopes and you just have to fold them in half. Hobbycraft sell them online if you haven't got a craft store nearby.
