Dark Winter Days

Today is the darkest, greyest and rainiest of Winter days in North Yorkshire. Fortunately our Hyacinths are now in full bloom to bring us a little cheer.

I managed to get out with the dogs before the rains came but since then I've done absolutely nothing apart from catching up on blogs and Instagram. Oh, and drinking spiced Christmas tea and eating home-made mince pies ...

I've been slightly more active than the dogs though !

I hope you are all having cosy Sundays :)

  1. I do love Hyacinths they smell amazing, mine are only half way up, I have just moved them into the front room now all the Christmas bits have been put away, isn't it miserable out there, I have just came back from a walk, hubby thought I was mad as it was raining, but I just wanted to get out. x

  3. We have had a very wet and miserable day here in Hampshire as well although we have got off lightly compared with folk in other parts of the country who are still coping with all the flooding. I have been spending the day crocheting my throw but have overheated under it as it has got to be quite a size now, I love your hyacinths, so cheerful. xx

  4. Hyacinths, tea and mince pies - sounds like the perfect way to counter such a dark winter day. x
